Senior Associate - UI/UX Developer

Overview

Senior UI Developer to join the existing Portal/Digital Platform team and help in the build out of the next generation of front end user interfaces for our customer facing portal framework and portal-hosted applications. This exciting opportunity requires a candidate with excellent technical skills, and a wish to play a critical role in cross divisional services.

Main Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, development and maintenance of new products & features utilizing advanced highly scalable ReactJS UI Applications.
• Work as part of a Scrum team, contributing to Agile SDLC processes and supporting more junior members of the team.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand their requirements & develop a solid understanding of the business domain.
• Work as part of the UI team to establish and build UI standards and frameworks across Post-Trade.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Technology and Business partners.
• Contributing towards resolving bugs and Production outages

Key Skills, Experience and Behaviours

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a UI developer
• Full stack developer in ReactJS and Node.js with proven experience in developing modern front-end React.js applications.
• Highly proficient in modern UI frameworks and toolsets like HTML 5, CSS 3.0, JavaScript, REST Concepts, JWT
• Experience in the design, development, and maintenance of scalable UI codebases.
• Unit and Integration testing (including mocking) and hands on experience with UI Testing frameworks like Cypress.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity and experience in using Build tools (Maven, SBT or Gradle) and Continuous integration tools (Gitlab, Bamboo, Jenkins) and/or deployment.

• Deliver high quality work analysis, design and build servicing the business requirements while gaining a detailed understanding of the platform from both a business and technology perspective.

• Be involved in continually improving our user experience while taking a step back to review the wider context of work being requested, challenging, and enquiring further where appropriate.
