What should a candidate know about DB Schenker SSC before coming at your booth with a CV?
DB Schenker Global Accounting Shared Service Center is the partner for Accounting Excellence for the entire DB Group. We handle the four main accounting processes from across the Group – Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and General Ledger – and perform them centrally.
In 2020 we will be the biggest Accounting Department from DB Schenker Europe.

Potential Career Paths in DB Schenker SSC
Starting your career with DB Schenker SSC is as easy as it gets. From getting to know your team to learning the ropes when it comes to the day-to-day activities, the first weeks in a new workplace can make you nervous.
This is why we invest 50 hours of classroom training for all our new joiners to get them familiarized with the company culture, team work, SAP, business awareness and more.
Day 1 means the start of our Buddy Program. Your Buddy will be greeting you, introducing you to your new team members and showing you the ropes.

Our main activity within Accounts Receivable is collections of outstanding invoices from our customers. This is what keeps us busy most of the time. Apart from this, we are also in charge of some other activities such as running the Direct Debit and the Dunning, performing refunds to customers or different postings in SAP.
So basically, each team member has their own customer portfolio and 1 or 2 other extra activities from the ones previously mentioned.
