    Short company description

    Who are we?
DigitalOptics Corporation (DOC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tessera Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: TSRA), delivers innovation in imaging and optics with products and capabilities that enable expanded functionality in increasingly smaller devices. Our miniaturized camera module solutions provide cost-effective, high-quality camera features, including extended depth of field, zoom, image enhancement, optical image stabilization and MEMS-based autofocus. We also design customized micro-optic lenses from diffractive and refractive optical elements to integrated micro-optical subassemblies.

Our centers of excellence in Bucharest (image processing software) and Brasov (hardware design) are developing solutions for facial recognition, object detection, video enhancement, 3D applications, high dynamic range and panorama stitching.

Do you know how a digital camera works? We have developed cool things patented by our team such as red eye removal, face priority, triggering on smile etc. We are now applying our expertise in new markets: mobile phones, automotive safety, smart displays, human machine interfaces, medical imaging.
Help us to explore these opportunities and to make life safer, smarter and funnier! We are looking for the most enthusiastic engineers grow our teams. Our current opportunities include:
    • Software Engineer
    • Research Engineer
    • VLSI Verification Engineer
    • VLSI Design Engineer
    • Hardware Engineer

    Key technical competences
If you enjoy developing embedded systems, if you are curious about photography and believe that millions of people can benefit from the quality of your work, don’t hesitate! Apply by sending your CV to officeromania@doc.com and get the chance to add intelligence to make the imaging systems of tomorrow cleverer!

1.Real-Time processing & hardware for multi-aperture/plenoptic camera systems (HW background; 2 students)
    -depth approximation, leading to
    -resolution restoration
2.Depth estimation algorithms for multi-aperture/plenoptic camera systems (IT/Image processing; 1-2 students)
3.Resolution restoration for multi-aperture camera systems (IT/Image processing; 1-2 students)
    4.Applications for multi-aperture camera systems (IT/Image processing; 2 students)
-gesture analysis using depth for device control and UI
    -SBP & real time focus

    Responsibilities

    - Student1 (HW background needed): real time processing for multi-aperture camera systems (initially depth approximation and eventually on resolution restoration)
    - Student2(CS and Image processing background): Depth estimation algorithms for multi-aperture camera systems
    - Student3(CS and Image processing background): Resolution restoration for multi-aperture camera systems
    - Student4/5 (CS/Image processing): Applications for multi-aperture camera systems (gesture, control, SBP, real time focus, etc..)
