    Speaker: Mihai Serban – Java CA Lead 

    "I will showcase a serverless architecture implemented in GCP for a typical ETL (Extract Transform Load) use case, leveraging GCP, Terraform, PubSub, Cron Triggers, and Cloud functions, showing how we can scale such a design with ease while the complexity is growing. We will touch on the deployment, monitoring, and upgrading of the software on the fly. Minimum programming and/or Cloud computing skills are recommended but not required."



    13:15 - 13:50 -> Keynote -  Cloud-Native Applications with GraalVM 
     
    Minimizing resource usage and ensuring scalability are major concerns in cloud deployments. For Java applications, GraalVM Native Image offers a perfect deployment platform for the cloud, enabling fast startup, low memory footprint, and instant performance. One of the easiest ways to build such applications is to use Micronaut, a modern framework for creating lightweight microservice and serverless applications. By performing dependency injection at compile time, Micronaut is a great fit for GraalVM native images. In this session, you’ll learn how to get started with GraalVM and Micronaut, build microservice and serverless applications, deploy them to the cloud, and optimize the performance.

    Alina is a Developer Advocate for GraalVM at Oracle Labs, a research & development organization at Oracle. Coming from developer relations background, Alina now has joined the GraalVM team to work with its global community.
