Automotive BootCamp Trainee Program

Program Scope & Format

The HARMAN Automotive BootCamp is our Entry Level Talent Program, designed to shape fresh enthusiastic graduates or students in final year in order to be ready to start first day on their professional carrier.

In this program, you will be able to build your skills in the development, testing and/or integration domains for Next Generation High-end Embedded Infotainment and Telematics Systems in the Automotive divison from Bucharest, Romania.

The Automotive Bootcamp Program is designed in two phases:
*Program eligibility: Availability to start at April 1st and to work full time after the end of the Training program (1st of July on-wards)

Phase 1. First 3 months: Training phase (general concepts, specific/targeted trainings, hands-on experience within our projects) – Fix term employment contract as Engineering Trainee, part time schedule (20h/week)

Phase 2.  Full time job as Junior Engineer with unlimited employment contract in one of our automotive projects (40h/week).

Job Responsibilities: We have 15 available roles, splited between the 4 following areas of interest. Kindly submit your application and let us know which area would fit you best.

C++ / JAVA developer:

• Good knowledge of C++ / JAVA and User Level Linux
• Good understanding of embedded applications development
• Good analytic skills and willingness to develop in C++ / JAVA
• Nice to have knowledge of scripting languages (LUA)

Requirements engineer:

• Understand requirements and defects in a project
• Familiar with software development process
• Good analytic skills
• Nice to have knowledge of scripting languages (Python)

Integration + Automation:

• Good knowledge of scripting languages (Python / Perl)
• Good knowledge of User Level Linux
• Familiar with code versioning software, GIT, SVN
• Nice to have knowledge in C#

Testing :

• Understanding of software testing
• Familiar and able to understand with use cases, test cases, test case suits
• Good knowledge of User Level Linux
• Able to record bugs in a defects tracking system

We are accepting all applications until the 9th of March. Program is targeted to start on the 1st of April.

Basic Qualifications:

• Final year student or graduate with Bachelor in Science
• Good English communication skills both written and verbal
• Passion about the automotive world and interest in developing a career in the IT industry
• Good colaboration skills
