    Role description

    The Project Manager is responsible for the governance, administration and  project management of Privacy initiatives within the Marketing Department. The Project Manager role is partnering with the various teams within the Company to support, and proactively work with them, to facilitate the work occurring between them and the business units and centralized functions they support. They help the teams to scope and plan the projects by helping to document the project goal, KPIs, roadmap and main deliverables. The Project Managers ensure that the Privacy projects are managed in a consistent manner, whilst working with the business units & central functions within Booking.com to build engagement and where needed call our decisions needed for work to be signed off. In some cases, the role requires handling with external collaborators and managing external stakeholders. The Project Manager also helps the different teams to mitigate the project risks and dependencies to make sure there is progress towards the project's achievements. First and foremost, the Project Manager ensures the team's roadmaps/plans focus on agreed business priorities, dependencies and strategies – designed based on data and business needs, and deliver against the shared objectives & goals. The Project Manager will work closely with Senior Project Managers and other team members to ensure effective project delivery. 

    Role Qualifications and Requirements

    Bachelor degree
    3 - 5 years relevant Job Knowledge
    Solid familiarity with project approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
    Ability to lead one or more low/medium complexity projects 
    A solid understanding of how people go through the change curve and the change process 
    Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships (both within a team and with wider collaborators) 
    Ability to work effectively and influence collaborators
    Effectively communicate in small/medium groups; Strong influencer in 1:1 and small groups 
    Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations and under pressure 
    Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics 
    Ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to drive call out decision making 
    Ability to contribute to long term vision though forming the bigger picture
    Strong Problem solving and root cause identification skills 
    Basic eye for business and understanding of organizational issues and challenges 
    Knowledge/background of privacy topics, similar industries and/or business projects is preferred
    PMP and/or Agile Project Management or equivalent certification is highly desirable

    Responsibilities

    Key Job Responsibilities and Duties

    Apply structured methodology to and lead project/change management activities 
    Own the successful delivery of the end-to-end project lifecycle
    Lead independently low / medium complexity projects with global impact (cross-functional) driving them through execution, analysis, recommendation and implementation 
    Work with collaborators to enable change management processes 
    Engage and influence collaborators inside and if required outside of the organization: work collaboratively with business unit partners and corporate support teams to drive successful project implementation
    Communicate project insights and recommendations across all collaborators
    Call out risks, opportunities and potential decisions as and when appropriate. 
    Drive the Project prioritization and Planning by helping to document the project goal, critical metrics, roadmap and main results
    Track and report progress; Creates clear planning documents together with involved departments 
    Ensure a project closing and correct handover to Business as usual 
    Ability to work and productively interact with different collaborators
