ROLE SUMMARY: LSEG and Microsoft have entered an exciting strategic partnership for the development of next-generation data, analytics and cloud infrastructure solutions. We anticipate there will be hundreds of thousands of datapoints - so automation is key. In your role you will be connecting key data sources to one another via Apis and transformation tools. You will be taking raw data and turning it into intelligence and dashboards which help us to govern and drive the program. In addition, we have an ambition to create predictive insights which will push the boundaries of traditional program delivery and allow us to make intelligent decisions based on predictive analytics models. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: This is a hands on role which will require you to get deeply familiar with our data and its relationships to other data sets and the programe. Within the partnership, are contractual deliverables which require us to provide specific intelligence and maintain a very strong change control process. You will be part of the team that owns this responsiblity. We have a mature suite of existing data tooling which you will use in this role to: o Design and develop data feeds using APIs to integrate existing datasets o Create and implement business logic to provide data intelligence o Evolve our reporting and dashboards to reflect the complexity of the programme o Work alongside both LSEG and Microsoft data teams to build additional tooling to support he overall programme. o Data modelling - working with stakeholders to understand their assumptions and building it into our models o Documenting our agreed data models, assets, and api libraries WHAT YOU'LL BRING: o Experience with two or more of the following (or similar): o Data management and stewardship o Data warehouses / lakes o ETL tools o SQL / MySQL / PosgresSQL o Power BI o Azure Cloud o Infrastructure migration experience o Detail oriented with an understanding of the criticality of our data quality and lineage o A deep understanding of technology - ideally of cloud computing, cloud migrations or similar. o An ability to work with a wide variety of people is vital. We will be working with people from several 3rd party companies as well as teams from across LSEG, both within Technology and beyond. As this role is a pivot point for the teams - and will be sharing their messages, and successes. We will be looking for someone with a calm, balanced approach to engagement o An upbeat, cheerful disposition always helps. It's important to be able to lighten the mood and have some fun along the way. o Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written. High quality output is expected at this level; the migration team publishes material for consumption by senior members of both LSEG and Microsoft. Presentation counts! o A willingness to collaborate and explore new ideas and concepts. This is an evolving programme and the answers you need may not always be available - you might need to help create them! o An appreciation that you will be working in a fast-paced, ever evolving environment - so flexibility is key!
