    Job role

    As a Financial Account you will be responsible for managing and executing regional as well as fully global accounting processes and transactions within the area of technical accounting. You will prepare the financial statements according to IFRS, S2 and Local GAAP and you will also steer smaller projects or process improvement initiatives.   

    Responsibilities

    What you will do

    Perform Reporting & Closing activities:  On a global basis, ensure that all IFRS, Local GAAP and Statutory closing and reporting tasks (e.g. annual report, reporting to regulatory authorities, SVT reporting) are accurate and on time.
    Produce monthly legal entity close submission activities. This also includes the coordination, transfer and reconciliation of data from interfaces of front-end systems such as SAP.
    Perform controls and adjustment on insurance accruals.
    Perform Global P&L and Balance Sheet analysis and reviews.
    Implement and refine the technical accounting process e.g document application of policies, procedures and workflows.
    Draft standards to improve quality as well as actively contribute to the improvement of global operation cycles, processes and workflows and policies and procedures.
    Develop high performing stakeholder relationships with internal and external stakeholders e.g. other departments, reinsurers, business units, Group Accounting, auditors, tax authorities, public authorities, etc.
    Proactively contribute to projects and process improvement initiatives.


    What you bring

    Independent and intrinsically motivated; strong organizational skills, with ability to work on own initiative, adaptable.
    Ability to handle complex processes (closing, reporting, finance operations) including understanding of data flows.
    Outstanding analytical skills with ability to analyze complex data / information from multiple sources.
    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, fluency in written and spoken English.
    Strong judgement, investigation skills and quantitative and analytical skills.


    You have

    University Degree (preferably Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or Finance).
    Proven understanding of standard accounting (IAS/IFRS, Solvency II or other local GAAP).
    Experience in Accounting, financial audit, controlling or similar financial area.
    SAP Knowledge.
    Proficiency in MS Office (primarily Excel).
