    An MSF project coordinator plans and manages our projects ensuring that all the departments work together effectively, to provide high quality care, whatever the needs.

    Our project coordinators are always based in the project and work together with the country coordination team to manage the project operations, team and security. The project coordinator is also responsible for the safety and security of the team.

    It’s an exciting and diverse role, potentially managing teams of hundreds of staff, and they are responsible for some or all of the following tasks.

    Your job
    Working in the field as an MSF project coordinator, your tasks will include:

    • Implementation of project activities by optimal coordination of the medical, logistical, financial and human resources
    • Management of the project team, including security management in often unstable environments
    • Supporting the team in the analyses of medical data, activity indicators and quality of care
    • Ensuring the continuity and coherence of the medical-, paramedical- and psychosocial activities
    • Acting as a liaison and arbitration point between different teams working in hospitals, health centres and/or mobile clinics
    • Being responsible for the implementation of the team health policy
    • Representing MSF on project issues towards local communities, authorities, UN agencies and non-governmental organisations in the project area while taking into account the goals, objectives and strategy for the mission as a whole
    • Ensuring that MSF's charter, policies and image are respected 
    • To propose and carry out exploratory missions when needed
    • To monitor the political and humanitarian situation in the project region
    As a manager one of your responsibilities will be creating a supportive work environment by means of continuous training, coaching and supervision.
