A Snapshot of Your Day
A customer facing framework to bring all customer digital and analytics products from Siemens Energy into one platform through one customer experience, while we standardize and harmonize the diverse technical and architectural landscape.
The scope of the project includes:
- Design, architecture, and development of features for the platform
- Set standards, process, and guidelines on overall user experience and user interface.
- Provide common application services, add-ons, libraries and components, like historical and real time data, notifications, authentication, authorization, etc

How You'll Make an Impact
As a backend developer you will support the team by building backend services and solutions to improve the backbone for our digital software business, the Omnivise Application Platform.
What You Bring
- Master's / bachelor's degree in computer science or similar with a minimum 8 years of experience in the field of Software Development and Architecture.
- Deliver in a reliable manner with the highest quality standards
- Curious, passionate about problem solving, building and self-improving
- Experience in Agile software development
- Fluent English Skills
- Experience working in and with international teams and stakeholders with different cultural backgrounds
Technical Skills:
- Experience in Python 3 (focus on Data Science frameworks/ libraries; no focus on AI/ML frameworks/ libraries) development and AWS based backend development
- Highly experienced in Python popular frameworks like Flask and Redis for distributed microservice orchestration (service to service communication)
Working experience:
- On relational/ data warehouse DBs (MySQL, PostgreSQL or Snowflake)
- with version control (Gitlab) and tools like Confluence/Wiki and Jira
- Micro Services Architecture
- AWS Lambda functions
- AWS Cloud Environments
- Time Series Data
- With integrating and managing structured and unstructured data in cloud-based data management systems for example with PostgreSQL or Redshift, Snowflake is a plus
