Siemens Energy has an exciting opportunity for a Substation Project Engineer to support our FACTs, GIS and AIS projects. In this position, you will coordinate with subcontracted engineering resources, client representatives, interconnecting utilities, and supply chain entities to develop the final design and support the delivery for the project. Project engineers are partners with our Project Managers and take complete ownership of the design and technical solutions developed to deliver the project.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Ensure the project engineering deliverables meet the schedule, scope, and quality requirements of the contract and communicate with the project manager any risks in the engineering design project
• Capacity to serve as the customer's point of contact to manage all technical topics of the EPC substation project, including technical construction and procurement topics
• Lead the technical clarification and interface with local vendors and contractors
• Provide technical input and support to Procurement team within the selection and onboarding process of suppliers
• Work proactively in close cooperation with overall project managers as well as other technical project managers and specialists, i.e., network, IT system and Cybersecurity
• Lead and manage suppliers in the execution of SCS project scope in compliance with Siemens Energy requirements, assigned project budget and time frame
• Execute thorough QA of suppliers' projects deliverables

What You Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Power Engineering, Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus
• 1-2 years of experience with a focus in the electrical substations systems
• Knowledge in High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC), and/or Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) technology is preferred
• Knowledge of local and IEC standards
• Availability to travel locally and internationally to customer meetings and to project sites (approx. 30%)
