Sustainability Expert

A Snapshot of Your DaySupervise & coordinate activities for Business Area Product Related Environmental Protection (PREP) as well as CSRD activities within EQS scope. Support Industrial and Product Related Environmental Protection (PREP) relevant topic requests, aligning with existing Corporate EQS nominated persons, organizational structures, and instructions.We are looking for a Senior Environmental Specialist - CSRD & Product Stewardship to work within our Business AreaWe are looking for an experienced Senior Environmental Specialist to lead our compliance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and improve our product stewardship efforts. This role will focus on creating and driving environmental protection processes for our products and operations. You will take a guide from Siemens Energy Environmental Center of Excellence however you will be in a driving seat for implementation in our Business Area.How You'll Make an Impact

• Develop, implement, and handle CSRD compliance strategies and environmental reporting processes.
• Lead the CSRD compliance initiatives, ensuring all environmental reporting requirements are met
• Facilitate initiatives to minimize the environmental impact of our products throughout their lifecycle. Act as Life cycle Assessment Champion for EAD Business
• Collaborate with product development teams to integrate environmental sustainability into product design.
• Build clarity in environmental performance metrics, develop reporting routine for EAD Business and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as first point of contact for internal PREP and CSRD related support requests made to EQS, represent EAD business in workstreams and communities related to CSRD and PREP
• Carrying out training sessions with PREP and CSRD for EAD employees
• Support of project planning activities under sustainability aspects (LCA calculation, cost calculation, contract comments)

What You Bring

• Higher technical education, University degree or equivalent experience, like Industrial Engineering, Sustainable Resource Management
• Excellent analytical skills to deal with technical problems and with customer requirements to provide valuable inputs
• Solution-oriented work and the ability to make decisions in a constantly evolving environment
• Experiences in assessing the environmental impact of Solutions with open LCA
• Experience in supervising EHS policies
• Experiences in evaluation of solutions considering market conditions
• Experiences in working with multi-functional teams
• Excellent command of spoken and written English, German language is a plus.
