    Responsibilities

    Shaping the Future Leaders of Procurement
    HP Global Procurement offers an opportunity for development of best-in-class leadership skills, procurement expertise and future career advancement. The Procurement Rotational Experience Program (PREP) is designed to attract, develop and retain exceptional talent.

    PREP is a two-year program consisting of four six-month rotations through the functions within GP. It has been designed with a focus on building professional relationships between graduates and GP leaders, so each graduate will obtain the greatest amount of experience and visibility in procurement throughout their participation in the program.

    During each rotation, every graduate will benefit from:
    · Experiential learning through project assignments
    · Applicable formal classroom training

    Participants in PREP will also receive:
    · Working knowledge of HP and its business objectives
    · Exposure to each GP function through tangible work experience
    · The guidance of a mentor for the duration of the two year program

    What does Global Procurement do at HP?
    We procure everything from technology (such as hardware, software, and telecommunications) to marketing, outside labor, facilities and business services - basically anything that HP purchases in order to do business internally and in support of our outsourced services clients.

    Global Procurement University Rotation Program Job Description
    Our program is designed to mentor and develop talented individuals with strong leadership potential and strategic thinking capability. GP is a world class procurement organization responsible for spend in non-production goods and services. If you have the ability to work in a global, virtual environment, creating value though utilization of procurement, business and financial expertise, GP's rotational program may be right for you.
    We are looking for energetic, highly motivated individuals who will have completed a Bachelor's level (or equivalent) degree. GP wants people who can bring innovative ideas and fresh perspectives into our organization.
    Well-rounded business acumen and global orientation are critical in GP; therefore this program will offer consecutive rotations in four of the following organizations:
    GP Enterprise Programs - Develop, implement and deliver end-to-end world class strategic procurement programs to support GP's mission and value proposition, inclusive of:
    o Procurement as a Service
    o Mutual Value Plan
    o Travel & Meetings
    o Digital & Print
    o Agency Contractor
    o Fleet
    Global Categories - Deliver value through strategic management of HP's indirect and services spend through a leveraged supply base, providing HP the best 3rd party contracts, pricing, assurance of supply, and innovative solutions.
    Strategic Business Partners - To align strategically with HP Businesses to drive integrated procurement solutions, transformation and service delivery assurance across the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, to fuel profitability and growth
    Strategy and Planning - Lead GP's strategic development, planning, and performance/quality management activities, serving as GP's single source of procurement and business information "truth."
    Solutions and Operations - Design, deliver and manage effective and efficient procurement solutions that simplify and streamline the procurement experience for HP's 300,000+ employees.
    Customer Experience - Enable GP to create exceptional customer experiences by driving insight and advocacy, inspiring a "customer first" culture, building new capabilities, and driving GP's communications strategy to enhance its brand.
    Compliance and Social Responsibility - Effectively mitigate HP's risk by managing GP's end-to end processes to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and customer requirements.
    Participants will be assigned challenging positions and projects, providing procurement knowledge and expertise to professionals spanning HP's business groups and functions. Individuals will also work across GP globally and with various levels of management. At the end of the two year rotational program, participants will be placed in an area of global procurement that matches their strengths and experiences with organizational needs.
