    Role Overview:

    The DataScope suite of applications is part of our Pricing and Reference Service business. It is a respected application used in the wider finance industry where clients can download both market data in bulk form or in customized reports. The application has 4k+ external clients who consume financial data to analyse funds and the market position of global industry players.

    In this role, you'll be joining our Enterprise Data Solutions as a Senior QA Automation Engineer: serving the entire spectrum of data needs across asset classes, latency and delivery mechanisms including real-time data and news, reference and legal entity data.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develops knowledge and understanding of technologies in LSEG and utilises these in their own scope of work, to create a network within the company
    • Liaise with Project Management and other stakeholders, to ensure correct reporting of work to business stakeholders
    • Present and communicate effectively to all levels of the organisation including technical and non-technical audiences, leadership, and management
    • Provide leadership and clear guidance, based on evaluation of development of tools and frameworks and best industry practise, for the automation of testing of Cloud-based applications
    • Understands LSEG's commercial position in the market and how our products and services fits into the company's strategic direction
    • Promotes services and customer focus culture within team
    • Design, develop, review and implement integration, system, acceptance and end-to-end test strategies
    • Assess and report on software risk and release readiness
    • Collaborate with QA Teams in Beijing to make sure the same testing strategy, automation solutions, frameworks and toolset are used.

    Required Skills:

    • 6+ years in Quality Assurance / Software Development / Test Development.
    • Very proficient in at least one programming or scripting language - Eg: Python, Java
    • Proficient in automation frameworks and understand the technical details of different types of testing frameworks including: Module-based, Library Architecture, Data Driven, Hybrid, Behaviour Driven etc.
    • Experienced with Linux and at least one RDMS like MySQL/Oracle/SQLServer/Sybase etc.
    • At least proficient on one automation frameworks like: JUnit, NUnit, TestNG, Selenium, JMeter etc.
    • Experienced in building End-to-end automation included test automation management, test execution and test reporting for SFTP and Database solutions
    • Very proficient in analyse software and quality requirements and document test plans
    • Very proficient in design, develop, review and implement integration, system, acceptance and end-to-end test strategies
    • Experienced with automation and manual testing for multi-tier, on prem and cloud based integrated solutions
    • Experience with build and test integration tooling including Jenkins, GitLab
    • Familiar with Agile methodology and have a good sense of quality ownership and risk assessment
    • Strong written and verbal English communication skills and excellent communication ability
    • Experience and the ability to thrive in a cross-cultural / multiple time zone work environment
    • Flexibility with working hours to accommodate multiple time zone work environment (for example adjusting work day hours slightly to be available for meetings with employees in another time zone)
    • Capable of motivating and energizing others, as well as gaining their respect, both within immediate and external teams
    • Passionate about new knowledge
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Honest, open, passionate, positive "can-do" attitude, self-sufficient
    • Ability to rapidly absorb new concepts - either technological, or industry related
    • Ability to establish external/internal resources to aid the team in reaching its goals
    • 3+ years experience of test project management.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Excellent knowledge on large data, near-realtime systems
    • Experience as a test project owner
    • Experienced in implementation of automation in Cloud based Projects AWS/Azure experience
    • Experienced in Analytic Tools like Tableau, PowerBI
    • Understanding of financial markets, experience testing financial software
    • Experience with financial market data.
