Description
Welcome to Amazon Games Bucharest! Joining the ranks of the existing development teams in Orange County, Montreal, San Diego and Seattle, we're excited to expand Amazon Games' commitment to creating and publishing incredible games, and we're on the lookout for talented folks to join us as we grow.
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer Lead to bring immersive and engaging gaming experiences to Amazon's customers everywhere! You will be able to understand software internals, debug problems, automate repetitive tasks with scripting tools or user-level automation tools, see both business and quality perspectives, enjoy working with data, developers, and gamers, and have test plan creation, test case design, and test automation skills. You will work closely with internal stakeholders in business development, production, marketing, account management, design, engineering to ensure consistent launches on time with a high-quality bar. This position entails leading a diverse team of fulltime QAE's and vendor service testers, reporting project status and signing off on the release criteria.
The main difference from other QA Lead roles is that at Amazon Games you will: get involved earlier and make a greater impact on projects; be in a position to help provide guidance on our quality assurance standards from the ground up; and be challenged to step beyond merely testing and truly affect overall quality (i.e., quality assurance). It's an exciting responsibility and a great opportunity for the right candidate.
If you have these traits and are excited about making a big impact in the game industry, building innovative solutions, and working with top tier software and video game developers, we're looking for you!

o Coaching and mentoring junior team members on career and project goals
o Contribute to a positive team environment and proactively help team members to meet and exceed team quality standards and goals
o Regularly report to internal stakeholders on the quality and reliability of our products
o Ability to understand functional and technical specifications and analyse data and output logs
o Solid understanding of QA tool development chains and environments.
