REPORTING TO: Senior Digital Treasury & Banking Manager

ROLE SUMMARY

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

As part of the Global Treasury Operations Team, the role holder is responsible for:

• Actively supporting to craft and implement the Group's Digital Treasury & Banking strategy covering working capital, banking and payments, digital innovation and transaction banking;
• Identifying and driving opportunities for further optimization and innovation in digital treasury & banking space to support the transformation and growth agenda of the Group;
• Supporting, identification, assessment and selection (e.g. PoC, RFP) of solutions and partners for traditional and new / digital services in collaboration with internal and external collaborators;
• Business Partnering with internal and external collaborators to support delivery of business results, including C&B delegate to associated forums and project teams.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Operations/ Professional/ Business

• Act as a proactive business partner to central, regional, DRBU and BU management to support the delivery of business results;
• Work with DT&B Senior Manager to identify and promote opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of cash and banking and help facilitate the vital change process;
• Provide input to the treasury/banking technology strategy within the context of the prevailing technology, FSSC needs and disaster recovery;
• Assist with delivery of efficient and effective banking solutions across regions and globally through regular RFP's to include payables and receivables;
• Assist with development of BAT's strategy with respect to digital solutions in the OTC area;
• Support implementation of the digital strategy covering inbound payments, infrastructure as a service, trade products, cards, and using merchant acquirer / online Financial services to support B2B and B2C physical and online routes to channels;

Management

• Support the implementation / execution of DT&B strategy and commercially triggered changes into Regions / End Markets in conjunctions with Corporate Treasury and required partners;
• Develop collaborative working relationship with partners, including bank partners, service and technology suppliers to ensure delivery of outstanding transactional banking solutions;
• Identification, development and delivery of both traditional banking solution and new digital capabilities solutions to support Global and End Market business requirements.

Leadership

• Contribute to the strategic direction of Treasury and help define the long-term Finance strategy at a Group, Regional, Operations and End Market level;
• Drive the partnership with support functions to deliver encouraged quality standards in treasury matters;
• Contribute as a key Treasury expert in Global and Regional projects;
• Identify and raise issues with potential significant business impact in respect of the Group, Regional, Operations or End Markets;
• Support in the drive for continued Treasury improvement;
• Co-ordinate ongoing knowledge transfer to GBS.

Relationship

• Proactively develop and maintain working relationships with Global, End Market, Regional and Operations Finance Managers, Tax, Legal, Accounting and IDT / GBS team members to ensure Treasury guidelines and policies, on-going activities and standard methodologies are shared and enabled across the business;
• Improve engagement with all relevant collaborators particularly in relation to Digital Treasury and Banking.

Innovation

• Collaborate on Treasury standard methodology with Central Treasury and other Regional Heads of Treasury and IDT / GBS;
• Assist in the continual development of the Treasury Operating Model in terms of centralising treasury activity, growing the scope of services provided to End-markets, improving the quality of services provided to End-markets and driving operational efficiency of Treasury processes;
• Promote collaboration between the treasury function and Finance Shared Services in Bucharest.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

• University degree
• CIMA / ACCA or AMCT Treasury qualification (desired)
• Excellent English (spoken and written)
• Willingness to travel
• Excellent analytical skills
• Leadership skills, specifically in handling intra-departmental and intra-subsidiary relations
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
• Have an understanding/ability to develop understanding of International Treasury management
