    ROLE SUMMARY

    What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?

    The jobholder is Commercial Finance Assistant Manager for AME Operations. The jobholder works in partnership with SNO, AME Regional team, DRBU finance and End Markets to:

    • Support delivery of inventory optimisation for all product categories, efficiencies and working capital improvement across AME by ensuring robust reporting, KPI tracking and monthly cross functional drumbeat.

    ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Prepare and deliver accurate inventory level analysis (Finished goods, Leaf stock, Materials Stock), in line with balance sheet actuals and forecast. Analyse variances to stock holding policies and stock increases driven by business decisions.
    • Accurately reflect and track the impact of inventory optimisation initiatives and action plans to improve BAU inventory levels.
    • Complete all data extraction and mapping for Inventory Reporting
    • Identify any gaps in excise data for Inventory and address with relevant teams.
    • Liaise with SNO, R&I team to collect stock duration data and build overview based on actual B/S
    • Identify and implement improvement opportunities in data extraction and consolidation for B/S
    • Ensure inventory overview dashboard in in place on a monthly basis in line with agreed timetable.
    • Support and coordinate new users induction for Inventory Dashboard

    Key focus areas:

    • Driving inventory optimisation and working capital improvements
    • Addressing inventory reporting requirements

    EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

    ESSENTIAL

    Experience Required

    • At least 3 - 5 years' experience in global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment
    • Understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes.
    • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
    • Ability to handle large data sets, quickly see patterns and important features.
    • Excellent analytical skills.
    • Understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems (i.e., SAP / BI / BPC);
    • Power BI knowledge will be a plus.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with both financial and non-financial senior stakeholders.

    Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

    • Experience in managing direct reports.

    BENEFICIAL

    Experience (commercial or operations) of working in Operations finance.

    • Experience of working with non finance functions.
    • Experience driving business change through implementation of new controls or processes.
