The Director, Sales Development will lead our outbound opportunity sales development team in EMEA, driving efforts to increase the number of qualified opportunities that result in closed-won business.
Your tasks will include:- Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) responsible for handling leads and developing all bound-sourced opportunities and associated pipeline from Enterprise, Commercial and SMB Sales teams, to achieve and exceed their targets
- Set clear performance goals and KPIs for the team and monitor individual and team performance metrics, analyze data, and provide actionable insights to improve performance and efficiency
- Work closely with leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives that align with overall business objectives. Continuously optimize and refine SDR processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders across sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure alignment and support for SDR initiatives. Foster a collaborative and positive working relationship with stakeholders
- Partner with EMEA sales leadership across multiple countries to support and drive overall regional success of sales initiative and goals to develop strategic SDR support of specific verticals and the overall growth of revenue
- Lead the regional SDR programs collaboratively with Sales Leaders
- Utilize a deep understanding of sales development best practices and industry trends to drive innovation and improvements within the team
- Leverage data and analytics to track progress, identify trends, and forecast future performance
- Identify ways to increase quality and quantity of Sales Qualified Leads, opportunities created that ultimately lead to closed-won business,
- Execute team SDR go-to-market strategy and goals, and contribute to the development and execution of new Sales-led campaigns,
- Drive continuous process and productivity improvement programme
- Monitor and give feedback to Marketing Teams and Sales Leadership to ensure lead scoring and qualification is continuously improving, and assigning next steps through sales and nurture paths
- Collaborate with SDR Leaders/HR and Sales Enablement to execute people initiatives
- Foster a strong team culture based on accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. Encourage a positive and inclusive work environment where team members feel valued and motivated to succeed
- Proven experience in Sales roles, specifically, and demonstrable experience in Sales as an SDR or Inside Sales leader
- Detail oriented, with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to write clear, concise communication for internal and external audiences
- Mentoring skills- ability to identify strengths and gaps, and develop strategies for continual improvement
- Knowledge of Sales tools and how to coach teams to optimize use
- Able to work across the organization with a diverse team
- Self-starter and hard worker who is at home in a fast-paced sales environment
- Highly motivated with a passion for coaching and developing junior team members
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Working closely with global and local leadership for global consistency and alignment
