Function Engineer

In our Control Technology - Base Systems and Controls Timisoara department, we develop solutions cover a wide area and are used by many European and Asian OEMs, including all types of engines and also a various cars and technologies, from standard engines cars to full electric or hybrid cars. Our BMS systems are designed to optimize the performance and lifespan of batteries in electric vehicles, and we are looking for an engineer who is passionate about sustainable transportation and has experience in automotive electronics.

You will be joining a wonderful team of experts in the System Engineering area and Model Base Development field, in the technical area of the Battery Management Systems (BMS), being WW responsible for one of the battery control system functionalities. Acting as Battery Management system and function responsible, you will collaborate with others Subsystems responsible, but also with other disciplines (Testing team, AEE, MEE).

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and review the system and software requirements;
• Develop Matlab/Simulink functionalities control (Model Base Development - SDA);
• Perform Unitary tests (SIL/PIL);
• Build up the software design and test specifications;
• Generate/Implement the code in C from Auto codded Design Specifications (or manual code for non ACG specifications);
• Code debugging;
• Perform the software verification based on the test specifications;
• Integrate and test the integrated software components into pilot projects;
• Support customer projects in case of problems; perform investigations on assigned functionalities;
• Cooperate within our international development teams and interface with our internal customers.

Tools used: Requirements and Change management Environment, Matlab/Simulink/SDA, C development Environment, Debuggers, Automatic Module Test generation (RTR/Tessy), dSpace signal generators, INCA, CANalyzer.

Requirements:

• University Degree (it is an advantage to have graduated: Computer Science, Automation, Informatics or Electronics and Telecommunications);
• Minimum 5 years work experience in Automotive System, Function development;
• Good knowledge in system theory;
• Very good knowledge in Matlab/Simulink detailed design;
• Good embedded programming skills, being involved in all development phases;
• Good "C" knowledge will be a plus;
• Fluent English, German will be a plus;
• High communication skills;
• Organized and analytical person, attentive to details, rigorous, proactive;
• High quality and customer approach;
• Automotive SPICE will be a plus.
