British American Tobacco Romania has an exciting opportunity for a Risk & Controls Manager in Bucharest

As part of the New Categories Corporate Finance Team the Risks & Controls Manager is reporting to the NVT CFOM Lead.

The purpose of the role is to complete a full review of controls and governance across the Nicoventures Trading.

The position offers the opportunity to build and maintain a robust control environment and to partner the commercial business functions promoting and understanding of controls as part of the growing New Category Business.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• To business partner with Business Controls (BCT), KPMG and commercial functions in order to ensure adherence to SOx, financial controls, Control Navigator, and respective control signs offs;
• To prepare control updates as required for HOF, NVT/Company boards, Corporate Audit Committee and any other team member interests;
• To review risk register for the Companies and to update and communicate to the NVT board;
• To support any internal audit points raised;
• To support SOx requirements within the group and facilitate changes, updates, walkthroughs as vital;
• To handle the annual control navigator process including the completion of any outstanding remediations and management of senior stakeholders.
• To co-ordinate control timelines and communicate to collaborators
• To lead the Statement of delegated authorities and the maintenance of this document;
• To provide the control overview to any new developments, market launches, new routes to market, new company creations, supply chain changes.
• To maintain and review annually all policy documents to ensure they remain relevant to the growing NC business and to draft new policy documents as required;
• To run all Finance system DOA request ensuring these are maintained and compliant;
• To handle the rollout of any control changes both self-initiated and Group driven.

What are we looking for?

• • Degree or equivalent experience educated with professional accountancy qualification (i.e. CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA)
  • A good understanding of group and corporate finance principles/experience - demonstrated ability in financial control and reporting.
  • Ability to lead a high volume of data and present in a simple, innovative, and impactful way using all current systems to simplify and automate information management. i.e. SAP/ BI/BPC
  • Ability to priorities and is resilient
  • Ability to identify operational improvements and proactively implement solutions
  • Works as an effective Business Partner with a collaborative and flexible style. The role will require interaction with end markets, commercial finance, R&D finance, and Operations Finance and more
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills are required to influence and challenge
  • Maintains excellent working relationships with all collaborators and is a phenomenal teammate.
