ROLE SUMMARY

What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?

This role is part of GBS Finance, Record to Report department. The role is responsible for performing the processing of information within the R2R function with a focus on rule-based back-office activities to ensure quality and accurate completion of services and key performance indicators (KPIs).

The Corporate Finance Analyst will be a part of GBS R2R P&R & CFOM Team, responsible for Commercial Finance activities.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Manage and co-ordinates activities to:

Actuals vs. Forecast tracking:

• Proactively monitor and track costs and highlights any variance from plan, both actual and forecast - collate and analyse detailed breakdown of cost and provide input to budget holder for their review.
• Prepare first level commentary, dashboards & variance analysis, including analysis of MI commitments
• Provide accurate and timely information on budget plan and actual spend to assist marketing management in monitoring ongoing performance

Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Ensure accurate and complete marketing budgets and financial information in Company's reporting systems, compliant with Pink/Orange Book and in line with the budgets submitted by Marketing Finance Team.

Cost Accounting / Management:

• Run & understand all cost allocations, cost accounting & queries (e.g., adjustments, accruals, provisioning)
• Direct engagement with BH to manage and understand accruals/provisions (incl. tracking), cost reallocations, standard recharges, Shared Costs, IFRS15 reclass etc.

Reporting:

• Prepare management reports, including important and impactful commentaries to discuss with partners:
• Provide the business with finance reporting information (Brand profitability / TCI analyses, NBE & MI Overview dashboards etc.) as per the frequency established with the markets.
• Distribute standardized reporting packs to End Market BPs for discussion with Marketing (Marketing Finance Tracker, Power BI Dashboards etc.)

Master Data Management:

• Support provided with WBS & Cost Center creation & update
• Coordinate Pricing & Excise master data maintenance and ensure alignment with Marketing Finance instructions.

Personal Objectives:

• Build a proactive and effective partner engagement at middle management level to maintain good relationships.
• Identify and actively pursue continuous improvement opportunities to increase the overall efficiency and effectiveness of processes in GBS.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

• Full Financial Statements understanding
• Good Business / Commercial understanding and curiosity

• Proactivity, initiative-taker, solution oriented
• Business Partnering Mindset
• Good technical skills and solid knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, specifically SAP, or ERP equivalent
• Knowledgeable in identifying risks and in implementing controls with a continuous improvement mindset
• Resilience and quick adaptability to changing environment
• Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics and strong understanding of the accounting process and practice in BAT / GBS
