Description
The Secure Ingress and Egress Team (SIEGE) owns and operates the first line of defense for Amazon's confidential customer data. We build the tools and applications that allow Earth's most customer-centric company to protect our most valuable asset - customer trust.
We build and maintain real time encryption services at Amazon scale working with security systems that bridge proxy layers, rendering applications and back-end service chains; our products impacts company-wide architectures and are used by thousands of services for protecting billions of fields per day in transit and at rest.
The team is looking for innovative, brilliant and enthusiastic software development engineers who can define, design, build and operate software systems to protect our customer's sensitive data. You will be part of a team that delivers robust, low latency and high availability service applications that offers encryption/decryption and key management solutions.

Basic qualifications
- Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
- Knowledge of data security systems and/or cryptography algorithms
