System Simulation Internship for Innovation

Job description:

• Develop different metamodel technologies - different Neural Networks, polynomial etc. - with applications within simulation of EV and/or HEV powertrain systems.
• Develop preprocessing routines for data preparation before training a metamodel: data cleaning, data transformation, feature engineering, data augmentation, data splitting in train set and validation set, outlier detection and removal etc.
• Performing simulations to design an electric powertrain in consideration of a variety of requirements depending on use case, vehicle boundary condition and customer specification.
• Interpreting of simulation results to:
  • verify system behavior and functionality in early development process and to propose system improvements.
  • identify patterns between system designs and results.
  • propose new functions for improvement of system performance/ efficiency/ cost/ behavior.
• Evaluation of case studies, functional structures and interaction of separate system functions, guarantee of correct interaction and functionality of powertrain components, identification and description of internal and external interfaces.
• Analyzing large data sets for business relevant information and correlations.

Job Requirements:

• Enrolled in a university program with a technical profile: System Engineering, Computer Science or comparable: Physics, Math.
• Knowledge in machine learning.
• Knowledge in Matlab/Simulink, Python.
• English speaking and writing skills.
• High innovative, creativity, analyzing and problem-solving skills.
