Business Analyst

Role Overview:

The DataScope suite of applications is part of our Pricing and Reference Service business. It is a respected application used in the wider finance industry where clients can download both market data in bulk form or in customized reports. The application has 4k+ external clients who consume financial data to analyse funds and the market position of global industry players.

In this role, you'll be joining our Enterprise Data Solutions as a Business Analyst: serving the entire spectrum of data needs across asset classes, latency and delivery mechanisms including real-time data and news, reference and legal entity data.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field

• 3+ years of experience in business analysis or a related field

• Experience with financial market data and/or financial market products

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Expert-level knowledge of business analysis methodologies and tools

• Experience in data analysis and modelling

• Knowledge of multi-application management with significant experience in a Software development and delivery role

• Significant knowledge of multiple programming languages, third party Software products and expert in at least two of these

• Significant stakeholder, people and multi-group management experience

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Experience in Agile methodologies and tools is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze business processes and requirements to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions that meet business needs

• Develop and maintain business requirements documents, functional specifications, and use cases

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that align with business goals and objectives

• Conduct data analysis and provide recommendations to improve business processes and efficiency

• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables

• Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations with stakeholders to capture requirements and provide updates

• Provides technical guidance and support to junior business analystsStays ahead with emerging technologies and industry trends in business analysis and project management

• Develops knowledge and understanding of technologies in LSEG and utilises these in their own scope of work, to create a network within the company

• Leads a team, holding responsibility for motivation, retention and performance management, as well as promoting an inclusive and open culture

• Is regarded as the point of contact in their domain by showing significant depth of knowledge and expertise and develops further knowledge of other domains to act on linkages and dependencies

• Understands LSEG's commercial position in the market and how our products and services fits into the company's strategic direction

• Works with architects to decompose a solution into Epics and leads design work and planning for Epics breaking them down to stories with product owners and quality leads

• Adapts existing patterns to develop robust solution and provides expert knowledge on coding

• Builds and develops trusting relationships with people at all levels, represents LSEG appropriately. Promotes collaboration between and within teams and communicates complex information clearly to all audiences.
