Senior Reliability Engineer - Hosting & Connectivity

We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineering for our team, with working knowledge and experience of Solace Messaging

In this role you will

• Perform installations, upgrades, migrations, and integrations of a variety of products
• Use automation tools to install and maintain Networking equipment
• Oversee design work in the network domain and contribute to creating solutions
• Execute the development and implementation of solution to appropriate standards
• Support the technology lifecycle through the design, build and maintenance of systems, software and applications to ensure the highest quality outcomes across the domains
• Support initiatives for process and service improvements within the team
• Support the maintenance of the integrated solution
• Schedule and coordinate capacity/network upgrades, liaising with other areas of the business as needed to ensure service level objectives are met
• Manage upgrades and coordinate internal and third parties where required
• Create accurate documentation and monitor system performance
• Effectively communicate with a wide group of stakeholders
• Handle client queries related to professional services post implementation

Requirements

• 3+ experience with message bus technologies (TIBCO, IBM Message queue but preferably Solace)
• 5+ years of experience in network operations and project delivery with ideally Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet, Palo Alto
• Strong Network routing and switching skills including LAN, WAN, HSRP, NAT, MPLS, VPN, GRE, BGP and OSPF
• Excellent knowledge of network packet analysing and pack capture tools
• Good knowledge and experience with Data Centre Networking including (Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Cisco ACI, VxLAN, AVD, Fortimanager)
• Experience in Cloud and good understanding of network security, including best practices
• Good knowledge of required Service Management process, ideally ITIL knowledgeable (Service Now)
• Excellent spoken and written English language skills with client management skills

Bonus skills

• Good Knowledge of Solace Messaging bus systems from an application and hardware perspective.
• Understanding of Solace Messaging, ACLs, Queues, profiles, Solace administration via cli and Sol Admin.
• Good scripting and automation experience (Python & Ansible)
• Proven exposure to financial sector and associated technologies
• Knowledge of low latency and associated technologies as deployed in the financial sector
