ROLE PROFILE:

Join our team and help us build the future of financial services on blockchain technology. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge products and services that will transform the way we interact with financial markets. DMI (Digital Markets Infrastructure) is an ambitious project: large-scale, complex and uses a range of blockchain architecture patterns, with numerous stakeholders (internal and external) and use cases. The work is focused on the tokenisation of financial instruments, i.e. as digital assets. We seek candidates with an interest in the financial markets with experience of working on large projects. This is a chance to work on an innovative, intellectually challenging project backed by the influential reach of London Stock Exchange Group.

ROLE SUMMARY:
Reporting into the Director of Emerging Technology, the ideal candidate will support the technical & operational design of DMI infrastructure, steering the formalisation, documentation, socialisation and consolidation of application deployment patterns, standards, process and governance interactions.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
o Building knowledge and understanding of established and emerging technologies in LSEG as well as across the wider landscape, & understanding how they're applied across their own domains o Supporting the technical design, development & product & operational delivery of all distributed ledger technology-based strategic products across DMI Technology Research & Development o Supporting the delivery of work & completing given tasks, prioritising appropriately o Writing clean & efficient code based on specifications, as well as clear and articulate presentation & documentation materials to share and communicate ideas across a diverse set of stakeholders o Building strong relationships with their team and colleagues, collaborating closely with them o Communicates clearly and keeping clear lines of communication open to ensure full understanding of information and tasks, asking questions where needed o Taking initiative to actively develop knowledge in technology products and tools through on the job learning, certifications and mentoring o Developing & maintaining up-to-date knowledge of blockchain & DLT, emerging technology trends and market adoption as it relates to financial markets infrastructure, capital markets institutions, fintechs, industry associations and bodies as well as optimal use-cases

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
o Computer science, software engineering or equivalent professional qualification required o Foundational knowledge of at least one programming language, as well as understanding of the software development life-cycle, design patterns and a variety of technologies o Good communicator, with the ability to interact with stakeholders across business & technology o Vision and creativity: Ability to foresee roadblocks, conceive intelligent solutions and contribute innovative ideas, as well as manage change and ambiguity effectively and confidently o Innovation: An interest in new technology and the ability to conceptualise and work with early-stage ideas o Initiative: Ability to run with tasks effectively as a self-starter, to work autonomously and also collaborate where required to achieve the required outcomes o development life cycle and agile processes
