Commercial Project Controller

A Snapshot of Your Day

You will work closely with project execution teams responsible for our complex Energy Generation and Transmission projects.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Support the commercial project execution of contracts with customers, regional companies, consortium partners, sub-suppliers and other Siemens Energy entities, in close cooperation with the Commercial Project Management.
• Support monthly project forecasting activities and conduct follow-ups of project results.
• Prepare various project reports and analyses.
• Regular discussions and maintenance of the current cost calculation with project management.
• Handling of Sub-supplier and Contractor purchase orders, check proper timing and cost accuracy of supplier invoices, as well as cost controlling for the project.
• Prepare documentation for customer invoicing and follow up on payments.
• Support with all other financial and commercial aspects of the project such as tax issues, hiring out of personnel, bank guarantees, L/Cs, insurance claims etc.
• Support project management with monthly project reporting
• Support project execution teams with various administrative tasks, travel expense reports etc.

What You Bring

• A bachelor's degree in business administration (or equivalent education in business administration with proven professional experience in a similar environment) is required.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in project business within the Energy, Oil & Gas, Process, or Infrastructure industry is essential.
• Knowledge of accounting according to IFRS, as well as the maintenance of local and global consolidating accounts, is necessary.
• Some experience in currency management and tax topics is expected.
• A driving force with ambition, a documented ability to work in a team, and the capacity to handle temporary high workloads is sought.
• The ability to prioritize and take responsibility is important.
• Attention to detail when needed, with a commitment to delivering on time and with the right quality, is crucial.
• Enjoyment in working with data and various IT applications is valued.
• Solid work experience in MS Excel is required, and experience with SAP is a clear advantage.
• Fluency in English is required, and additional language skills, particularly in German, are a plus.
