Chief Accountant

Short company description

Requirements

-University education preferably in Finance / Economics
-A solid professional background with sufficient exposure to all accounting and taxation topics
-Minimum 8 years’ experience in accounting and 5 years in a similar role.
-Knowledge of English at an advanced level (written, spoken).
-Knowledge of the legislation and financial accounting rules in force, CECCAR membership (Romanian accounting principles & IFRS)
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office at an advanced level.
-Experience in SAP/ERP is an advantage.
-Demonstrated traits: meticulous, independent, proactive, and able to meet tight deadlines
-Ability to work in an international team.

Responsibilities

-Responsible for the month and year-end closing process (closing transactions, reconciliations, analyses).
-Ensure accuracy of daily accounting transactions, including correct classification of SAP account and cost center.
-Represents the company in front of the specialized control bodies and in front of the persons/organizations with which they come into contact during work relationship.
-Participation in cost analysis and preparation of budget and forecasts.
-Highlight areas of risks and work actively to minimize risks
-Point of contact for Internal and External communications
-Lead and develop Accounting department
-Collect and organize related documents for processed transactions.
-Use accounting expertise to identify and communicate issues.
-Responsible for monthly/annual tax & statistical reports
-Responsible for monthly reconciliation with suppliers and customers
-Responsible for payroll calculation
-Responsible for reporting according to Group requirements
-Follow and apply internal controls and compliance policies according to Group requirements
-Perform any additional tasks directly and indirectly related to the position assigned by management representatives.
-Prepare internal and external financial reports.
