    General Information:

    To drive and support our company's digital transformation journey and ensure robust IT capabilities for current and future business needs, we are seeking a Service Owner for Linux Client Solutions. This role is crucial in advancing, integrating, and promoting modern digital workplace solutions, leveraging cloud-based services to optimize the management and deployment of our workplace infrastructure.

    As a Service Owner, you will lead a team of skilled Linux Consultant and work on a team of skilled Modern Workplace specialists and Cloud Solution Architects responsible for the end-to-end ownership of core digital workplace infrastructure. This role is key to transforming and continuously improving our digital workplace architectures, with a focus on public cloud platforms, in close collaboration with business teams, IT infrastructure departments, and external support providers.

    Your responsibilities will include consulting, designing, and piloting digital workplace solution architectures for defined digital client services, driving value for our company and its stakeholders. You will also conduct feasibility studies, develop IT concepts, perform market research, and evaluate vendors. Knowledge sharing and community engagement are essential aspects of this role, empowering other digital specialists within the organization.

    Your Key Responsibilities:

    • Service Management:
      • Lead the development and maintenance of both physical and virtual standard Linux client architectures.
      • Drive the transition to lightweight client computing architecture to reduce endpoint complexity, enhance manageability, and improve total cost of ownership while boosting usability and employee satisfaction.
      • Develop and manage service-oriented IT workplace solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs.
      • Oversee the lifecycle of digital workplace services, from deployment to end-of-life, utilizing modern, cloud-based management practices.
      • Manage role-based user application assignments and ensure the integrity of architecture in alignment with the company's broader IT strategies.

    • Collaboration with External Support Providers:
      • Coordinate with external support providers to ensure seamless service delivery and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
      • Manage vendor relationships, including performance monitoring, and escalation management.
      • Ensure effective communication and collaboration between internal teams and external partners to drive service improvements and innovation.
      • Oversee the onboarding of external support providers, ensuring they understand the company's standards and expectations.

    • Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
      • Design and implement comprehensive solutions that align security needs with business strategy.
      • Support evergreen processes, release management, and the transformation of architecture concepts into operational digital services.
      • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, driving innovation and continuous improvement in digital workplace architectures.
      • Lead feasibility studies, IT concept development, market research, and vendor evaluations to ensure optimal service delivery.

    • Knowledge Sharing and Community Engagement:
      • Actively share knowledge within the community of digital specialists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
      • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting skill development and professional growth.
      • Collaborate within an international, globally distributed team, ensuring alignment and consistency across regions and departments.

    Your Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience in digital workplace management.
    • 5+ years of professional experience in a relevant field.
    • In-depth knowledge of Linux Ubuntu client and infrastructure.
    • Proficiency in Intune, Ansible, and Defender.
    • Hands-on experience with OS deployment.
    • Experience in building and maintaining public cloud solutions (Azure, AWS).
    • Experience collaborating with Corporate Cybersecurity teams on infrastructure and application security compliance, including risk management and security configuration.
    • Experience in managing external support providers, including performance monitoring, and vendor relationship management.
    • A forward-thinking mindset, eager to explore and adopt new concepts and emerging technologies.
    • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Fluent in English (both spoken and written); proficiency in German is a plus.
    • Ability to work effectively in globally distributed teams and collaborate across regions and departments.
