    Description

At Amazon, security is central to maintaining customer trust and delivering delightful customer experiences. Our organization is responsible for creating and maintaining a high bar for security across all of Amazon's products and services. We offer talented security professionals the chance to accelerate their careers with opportunities to build experience in a wide variety of areas including cloud, devices, retail, entertainment, healthcare, operations, and physical stores.

What do you know about protecting sensitive data? What about fine-grained access control (FGAC) on Big Data? Or attribute-based access control (ABAC) and context based authorization?
In Security Products we build Access Policy Management systems to enable all Amazon teams to apply FGAC to their sensitive data. We build products that apply context based authorization to solve the problem of over-permissioning.
In our newly created organization we have a rare opportunity to engage with multiple Amazon organizations and groups of experienced tech leaders to build products with impact at an impressive scale (hundreds of thousands of services).

As a Technical Program Manager, you will drive the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional technology initiatives. Translating strategic objectives into actionable plans, you will manage the end-to-end program lifecycle, navigating ambiguity, mitigating risks, and keeping multiple workstreams on track. With a strong technical background and exceptional program management skills, you will think strategically, communicate effectively, and collaborate with diverse teams to drive innovation and deliver high-impact solutions that delight customers. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and are passionate about leveraging technology to solve complex challenges, this could be the ideal opportunity for you

    Key job responsibilities
    - You will manage large, complex technology initiatives, delivering critical solutions, significant improvements, new mechanisms, or deprecating systems that are no longer needed. These efforts will require you to work with multiple teams in and/or across organizations.
    - You will be accountable for the overall strategy of large programs. You will manage all stages (from concept to delivery).
    - You will need to understand the architecture of the systems you work with. You will influence team technical priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions.
    - You will be able to make a case for project priorities, resource allocation to achieve a desired business outcome, resolve an architecture deficiency, or unblock delivery.
    - You will communicate ideas effectively, verbally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences including Directors.
    - You will foster a constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and lead the resolution of contentious issues (build consensus). You will partner with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams.
    - You will drive crisp decisions in your program area about what projects move forward and in what priority order. You will proactively identify risks and bring them to the attention of your team and stakeholders with plans for mitigation before they become roadblocks.
    - You will be a simplifier. You will judiciously add, refine, and remove procedures.
    - You will have good working relationships with engineers, managers, and peers. You will recognize discordant views and take part in constructive dialogue to resolve them.
    - You will own, gather data, write, deliver, and present project and business related reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc basis, while ensuring written communication is of the highest quality with minimal feedback required.
