    A Snapshot of Your Day
    As a Senior Buyer at Siemens Energy, you will conduct demand clarification and negotiations with suppliers as well as with internal colleagues for the inquiry and procurement of the required components and services.
    How You'll Make an Impact
    • Responsible for the tactical purchasing activities in customer projects along the entire support process "Tactical Procurement" ??? in the field of Mechanical Works & Components (e.g. Compressors, Tanks, Vessels)
    • Responsible in particular for the inquiry, tendering, commercial clarification and negotiation of components and works or package units
    • Carries out tenders and bid clarifications in our SAP ARIBA platform
    • Negotiates technical and commercial conditions with national and international suppliers (e. g. quantities, prices, deadlines, technical properties) and prepare project contracts ready for signature ??? negotiations take mainly place in English
    • Prepares and aligns award decisions and in close coordination with your interface partners, executes them accordingly
    • Processes purchase requests by creating and releasing purchase orders to suppliers
    • Purchase order management, including tracking/expediting to ensure a cost-efficient supply of materials in accordance with demand
    • Ensures items are delivered on time and expedited where necessary
    • Communicates with suppliers concerning order-related items, such as delivery dates, and escalates risks to relevant stakeholders
    • Monitors supplier delivery and quality performance. Escalates findings to relevant stakeholders and addresses performance issues with suppliers as necessary
    • Maintains and updates supplier master data to ensure that the database is accurate and up-to-date
    • Demonstrates strong customer focus by handling requests in a timely manner with high quality standards
    • Communicates efficiently and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
    • Actively seeks process optimization and improvement opportunities in relevant areas (e.g. MoQ optimization, bundling of purchase orders, etc.)

    What You Bring
    • Completed university degree in mechanical engineering and/or business administration
    • More than 8 years of experience in the field of commodity management, project procurement management and/or international project management
    • Intercultural experience, e. g. through a stay abroad in an English-speaking country or through intensive international project experience
    • Characterized by communication skills as well as ability to work in a global team, negotiation skills and willingness to compromise
    • Ability to deal with conflict and you are perceived as a solution-oriented person
    • Analytical approach, accountability and responsibility
    • Fluent in Business English ??? spoken and written; any other languages are nice to have
