Our History

AECOM launched when a handful of employees from design and engineering companies shared a dream of creating an industry-leading firm dedicated to delivering a better world.

We became an independent company formed by the merger of five entities. While our official founding was in 1990, many of our predecessor firms had distinguished histories dating back more than 120 years.

Since then, more than 50 companies have joined us and, in 2007, we became a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange.

Requirements

Mandatory:

Bachelor’s Degree in Building Services Engineering

Master's degree or any additional postgraduate studies in a related field would be desirable.

Minimum 6 years professional experience in design.

Strong knowledge of at least 1 engineering modeling/drafting software

Advanced English language skills

Nice to have:

Field related master’s degree or any additional postgraduate studies

Revit MEP skills

Common Data Environment familiarity (BIM 360, ACC or similar)

Clash detection software experience

BIM Management/Coordination experience

Technical Due Diligence experience

Experience in people management

Experience in project management

Responsibilities

Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team

Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.

Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.

Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.

Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.

Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.

Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.

Prepares technical specification sections.

Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
