Able to design electrical systems from scratch based on high-level design criteria.
3 to 10 years mission critical building experience ideally in a multi-disciplinary design environment;
Data center design experience is preferred;
Familiarity with tier design, having UTI accredited tier designer is a pre.
Familiar with building design processes, BSRIA stage 1-5
Familiar with commissioning processes level 1-5 (FWT, SAT IST, etc.)
Protection studies, cable calculations.
Being able to write design specifications for key datacenter equipment such as diesel generator, transformer, busbar, LV panels, MV distribution, and so on.
An awareness of contractual responsibilities and internal/external interfaces
Standing ground during heavy technical discussions with customers and sub-contractors
Familiarity with other disciplines such as civil works, mechanical systems, DCIM, extra low voltage.
