    This role provides a hybrid way of working with an onsite presence of 2 days/week.

    Role description

    The largest of these brands is Booking.com. Established in 1996 in Amsterdam, Booking.com has grown from a small Dutch start-up to the third largest e-commerce company in the world. And, over the past few years, its Legal & Public Affairs team has been on a transformational journey (think: growth, innovation, changes to how we operate). We are looking for someone with operational experience and process mindset to be a core contributor to this journey. In this role, you will play a central part of the end-to-end purchase to pay activities for the global Legal and Public Affairs Department of Booking.com. In addition, this role has the potential to expand to providing these client services across the legal departments of each of the Booking Holdings Brands.

    Key Job Responsibilities and Duties 

    Vendor Onboarding 

    • Work with Procurement and the Legal and Public Affairs (LPA) team to support  the onboarding of LPA vendors to Booking.com’s financial systems  
    • Help maintain accurate and up-to-date LPA vendor profiles in Booking.com’s financial systems

    Financial management 

    • Review of vendor invoices in Legal E-billing platform (Legal Tracker) to ensure compliance with billing guidelines and related Booking.com policies. 
    • Create and support LPA to create matters in Legal Tracker to manage external spend 
    • Support with regular spend reporting and matter reporting from Legal Tracker

    Tech Modernization / Transformation 

    • Support in the post-implementation phase of a new financial management system including process improvement,  stakeholder management and other aspects of change management.  

    Role Qualifications and Requirements

    • Fluency in English (mandatory) 
    • Confident self-starter
    • High degree of attention to detail 
    • Understanding of general accounting principles 
    • Stakeholder management skills including a patient and customer-centric mindset 
    • Execution-focused mindset with the ability to handle competing priorities and adapt in a dynamic environment
    • Excel or Google Sheets - basic skills for creating formulas, sorting and filtering data (intermediate level is a plus)
    • Operations experience preferably in relation to budget management, financial planning and analysis
    • Experience with e-billing platforms particularly Legal Tracker by Thomson Reuters would be a plus
