Requirements

First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g. CPA, MBA) preferred.
Typically 3+ years of experience as a financial analyst.
Intermediate to thorough level of knowledge of tactical Accounting/financial analysis.
Exposure to strategic planning at this level is desirable.
Advanced knowledge of Excel
SAP (nice to have)

Responsibilities

Partners with the businesses to ensure that the capital strategies are operationally supported and strategically focused to secure the greatest return on investment for the global company.
Gathers financial data and performs financial analyses and reporting (e.g., profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, pricing, etc.) to influence decisions within the business and to drive cross-business initiatives (e.g., Mergers and Acquisitions).
Drives the forecasting process (weekly, monthly, and long term) by analyzing trends within the businesses and ensuring alignment with business- and corporate-wide objectives.
Communicates and drives adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the organizations financial goals and policies.
Has the fiduciary responsibility to represent financial results correctly both internally and externally. Ensures strong business controls.
Specialist: Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives.
Works on problems/projects of diverse complexity and scope.
Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution.
May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision-making process.
Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.
