Joining the ranks of the existing development teams in Orange County, Montreal, San Diego and Seattle, we're excited to expand Amazon Games' commitment to creating and publishing incredible games, and we're on the lookout for talented folks to join us as we grow.

    We are looking for an experienced quality assurance team lead with a track record of delivering quality assurance services on shipping & live titles. In this role, you will collaborate both with development teams and external QA, and support & benchmark gameplay debug & polish effort across all Amazon games, through test strategies & test plan recommendations along with test executions & defect reporting.


    Key job responsibilities
    o Lead and manage a team of QA Specialists, fostering career growth and strong team culture
    o Define test strategy, analyze game scope and features, drive and deliver test plans creation with value based test cases on project mandates.
    o Partner with game teams, developers and project QA management, and sync on design intents and quality expectations for assigned game mandate
    o Deliver complete testing coverage, reporting all quality defects on assigned project mandate areas with high accuracy and efficiency
    o Provide internal status reports, highlighting defect patterns and game coverage risks and provide test priorities or test case recommendations to QA partners
    o Identify and recommend benchmarks in terms of game coverage, defect output, pass durations and resource needs, following full test passes on major game areas.
    o Constantly deep dive on team's activity, obsessing over defects diversity, their quality and accuracy in providing actionable insights for Production teams.
    o Support & train QA partners on efficient debugging and test coverage, defect impact analysis and root cause analysis for found defects

    At Amazon Games, our ambition is to create bold new experiences that foster community in and around our games. Our team of game industry veterans is developing and publishing live service AAA multiplayer games and developing original IPs, including New World: Aeternum and an upcoming title based on The Lord of the Rings, with our studios and teams in Seattle, Orange County, San Diego, Montreal, and Bucharest. Amazon Games also publishes best-in-class games in close collaboration with developers, leading with Lost Ark from Smilegate RPG, THRONE AND LIBERTY from NCSOFT, and King of Meat from Glowmade, as well as the next major entry in the Tomb Raider series from Crystal Dynamics.

    Basic qualifications

    - Significant experience in QA, in the Games industry
    - Experience testing across a variety of platforms (PC and consoles)
    - Experience in shipping titles from a QA team lead position, across a variety of game areas
    - Deep knowledge of QA test practices for the full development life cycle, including test strategy definition, test plans & test cases creation, JIRA management, resource investment and test executions monitoring.

    Preferred qualifications

    - Experience in communicating with development teams across all job functions to collect feature design intentions and quality expectations and translate that into test strategy and test plans
    - Experience in supporting QA effort for Live games
    - Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of QA Specialists to improve their skills, and make them more effective.
