    A snapshot of your day
    As a Junior Buyer - RFQ, your primary role will be to tactically execute procurement strategies established by Corporate Commodity Management, in alignment with the overall commodity strategy. You will play a key role in supporting internal customers and partners who rely on your timely, transparent contributions for their success. Working in a highly motivated, action-oriented team, you'll collaborate closely with colleagues, offering mutual support. Your focus will be on addressing immediate, day-to-day challenges, delivering significant value to both our factories and customers. Additionally, you'll collaborate with global commodity management teams on long-term improvement and development initiatives, gaining expertise in tactical execution, acceleration, and supply chain performance management.
    How You'll Make an Impact
    • Collaborate with global and local commodity management teams and manufacturing sites to effectively plan, align, and execute sourcing activities
    • Drive supplier relationships by obtaining and comparing multiple quotations for alternative options
    • Collect and apply relevant data (e.g., Approved Vendor list, drawings, specifications) to obtain and upload final quotes into the ERP system, ensuring accurate prices, lead times, and supplier part numbers are maintained
    • Support critical customer projects by coordinating with operational procurement and the order management team
    • Provide strong support for negotiations by sourcing and presenting the best pricing options from alternative supplier quotations
    • Monitor and track purchase requests, creating and updating purchasing information records (PIRs) as needed
    • Communicate with suppliers regarding order details such as delivery dates and escalate risks or issues to relevant stakeholders
    • Track supplier performance in terms of delivery and quality, escalating and addressing performance issues where necessary
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier master data
    • Ensure a high level of customer focus by responding to requests promptly and maintaining high-quality standards
    • Communicate effectively and professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize processes, such as minimum order quantity (MoQ) adjustments or bundling purchase orders

    What you bring
    • Completed studies in business administration, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field
    • Several years of professional experience in procurement or purchasing
    • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, flexible approach to teamwork
    • Proficiency in English (knowledge of German is an advantage)
    • Confident in using SAP (purchasing modules) and standard MS Office applications
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with colleagues from diverse cultures and backgrounds globally
    • Skilled in negotiation and adept at navigating various cultural environments
    • Ability to foster collaboration across different organizational units and functions
    • Willingness to take on significant responsibility in a growing department with a dynamic, informal, and inspiring work environment
