    We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Web Development to lead our globally dispersed team of web developers, including both full-time employees and contractors. As an integral part of the Demand Generation/Web Experience team in the Marketing organization, you'll be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of our front-end web pages and microsites on Veeam's corporate website. You will work closely with key functional teams, such as Global Campaigns, Regional Marketing, IT, and Creative Services, to develop the best possible experience while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage the web development team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
    • Oversee web development scoping, planning, and technical architecture ensuring industry best practices are being used
    • Manage intake, monitoring, decomposition, and assignment of tasks among developers based on skills and capacity. Ensure adherence to SLAs/timelines and quality of product.
    • Collaborate with the requestors and key stakeholders, discussing requirements, deadlines, and collecting all the necessary information for subsequent development.
    • Maintain relationships and connections to other technical teams to ensure alignment and that integrations are maintained and enhanced
    • Manage legacy code while identifying, evaluating, and implementing new technology that is beneficial to the digital goals of the organization
    • Hands-on development and maintenance of templates for web pages on the Marketo and Adobe Experience Manager platform
    • Perform code reviews on all internal and external code to ensure quality and consistency. Developing or validating test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases address all browser and device types.
    • Define, train, and socialize teams on required processes (from intake to launch), always optimizing for consistency, efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Create and maintain documentation
    • Regularly communicate with the Demand Generation/Web Experience leadership, and other key stakeholders to discuss and align on direction, strategy, and priority

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
    • 8+ years of proven experience in web development and management roles
    • The ability to organize a workflow among a group of developers through Git and Jira
    • Proficiency and use of HTML, CSS, SASS preprocessor, React.js and Next.js development, native JavaScript (ECMAScript 5, 6) and TypeScript and understanding how web forms work
    • Experience working with: Pug, layout building experience without CSS-frameworks, including animation and interactivity and jQuery to work with legacy code
    • Experience developing web pages inside Marketo and AEM
    • Understanding the technical aspects for creating HTML emails, especially for Outlook
    • Experience setting up Vite, Gulp
    • Ability to both lead a team and work as a contributor; a leader who loves to write code
    • Ability to meet deadlines and a goal-oriented mindset

    • Flexible thinker; strong and creative problem solving and analytical abilities
    • Ability to clearly communicate technical issues to non-technical colleagues and frame problems in a way that they can be understood by other senior leaders
    • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
