    ROLE PROFILE

    JOB TITLE: Poland & Baltics Corporate Finance Junior Manager

    FUNCTION: GBS Finance

    CITY & COUNTRY: Bucharest, Romania

    PURPOSE STATEMENT

    • The provision of high-quality financial analysis and management information to the business and more senior Finance colleagues to support decision making that enables the delivery and achievement of the company strategy and business objectives.
    • Coordinate the provision of structured and insightful analysis of financial and non-financial information to support finance decisions.
    • Assists in ensuring key controls are in place within the finance function.
    • Support development and implementation of best practice methodologies and tools.
    • Manage projects and provides insights to support decision making

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Review financial statements for actual/planning reporting
    • Coordinate monthly/half year/full year actual reporting cycles and financials review
    • Support Corporate Finance Manager in forecast planning cycles and financials review
    • Responsible for Balance sheet forecast
    • Review and provide accurate and timely monthly variance and cause of change analysis
    • Ensure timely contract management, cost booking for intra area Recharges
    • Manage asset register in line with IFRS16; actuals posting and forecast
    • Responsible for operation, coordination and revision of main High and Medium risk SOX controls (Subsequent events, P&L and Trial Balance review, SAP Manual postings review, Statutory Additional Disclosures)
    • Coordinate ad-hoc projects
    • Engagement with different stakeholders
    • Strong teamwork & collaboration across GBS departments to ensure integrity and quality of financial statements
    • Assist in the development and implementation of practical procedures to ensure high level of internal controls
    • Adhering to and conducting activities in accordance with the laws and bylaws rules related to the environmental protection, safety at work and fire protection, and internal EHS standards and procedures of BAT Group
    • Adhering to local legal framework, internal standards, rules and procedures of BAT Group
    • Adhering to business continuity management
    • Executing all other tasks as required by line manager

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience

    Education and work experience

    • Relevant Degree with professional qualification is a plus (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA)
    • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment

    Functional Knowledge & Skills

    • Excellent computer literacy (Excel and Power Point)
    • Thorough understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, such as SAP & BPC
    • Experience in analysis, planning & execution, performance metrics and finance acumen.
    • Business English proficiency
    • Experience dealing with external stakeholders

    • Ability to simplify complex situations and synthesize, communicate and present complex information
    • Insightful, comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty, pro-active, collaborative and consultative
