Apsis.ai [1] is an AI-powered visual search tool aiming to provide users with a more relevant, accurate search for various products.

You will learn and grow inside a great team of highly experienced developers and QA engineers, in a very independent, startup-like environment. You will interact with various machine learning algorithms and expose their results to the user through a complex web application, built around React.js and PHP Symfony. You will get a glimpse of the AWS based infrastructure, as this is a key element in the web ecosystem. Of course, your mentor will ease you into this exciting road.

During this internship you will become familiar with the structure of full stack web application and how it interacts with external applications, such as the implementation of a deep learning model inference system. You will also dive into the pipeline these models go through: from the way they are built in the research phase to how they are deployed to production, making sure that optimal response time is achieved. Due to the magnitude of such a model, ensuring low inference time is a great challenge!

The codebase is “bulletproof” and highly efficient, guarded by a thorough code review process in which you will be actively involved. You will learn to write optimal, safe, beautiful code and greatly enhance your knowledge and creativity in a fun environment!
