We are seeking a Corporate Technology Business Partner to support the Finance organization by building strong relationships with key stakeholders, gaining an understanding of their business needs and objectives, and aligning technical resources and tools to help them achieve their goals. You will serve as an interface between the business units and corporate technology teams, focused on the analysis of business processes, assessment of project and platform change requests, and assisting with solution discovery and delivery. This role will focus on supporting the accounting, revenue and treasury functions, as well as the statutory and management reporting processes and related data flows.
Your tasks will include:- Build and maintain strong relationships within the business and Corporate Technology teams
- Communicate with business leadership to prioritize projects based on predefined criteria (e.g. return on investment, productivity, compliance)
- Accurately record and translate business requirements and objectives coming from business stakeholders
- Perform Business and System Analysis to ensure minimal technology resource expense and speed to solution
- Conduct UAT and functional testing of application upgrades or implementations
- Project Management to help facilitate the various projects and tasks in motion
- Ensure proper rollout of new processes with change management planning and strong communication to the business
- Develop and deliver functional user training sessions
- Degree in a technical/business related field or equivalent industry experience
- Preference for candidates who have relevant experience in business analysis, project management or an accounting role at a technology company
- Working knowledge of Accounting and Finance concepts, such as accruals, revenue recognition, intercompany management, currency revaluation, as well as compliance, financial planning and analysis and GAAP/IFRS reporting
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work well with culturally diverse and cross-functional teams
- Ability to lead, drive, and communicate with both business users and technical teams
- Understanding of systems engineering concepts
- Familiarity with modeling tools such as BPMN, UML, ERD, or other diagrams
- Proactive attitude, enthusiasm
- Experience with NetSuite or other ERP tools. Knowledge of close management tools such as FloQast, accounting tools like Gappify and Virtual Lease, as well as planning and reporting tools like Oracle EPBCS/Anaplan/Board and Tableau is preferred.
- Ability to query and analyze data
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence or other project management tools, such as Monday or Aha
- Knowledge of US GAAP and Local GAAP accounting
- Experience with accounting, period close and audits in a global environment
- Experience with internal, US GAAP and statutory reporting to the relevant authorities, as well as group consolidated financial statements
- An understanding of the company creation and closure activities across multiple jurisdictions
