Commercial Sales Manager

A Snapshot of Your Day

We are looking for a versatile Commercial Sales Manager to join our Global Sales Operations team in the fast-growing area of Grid Technology - Sales. We are a diverse small team, mainly located in Erlangen, Germany, working together with our technical counterparts and supporting our finance sales colleagues around the world.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Support all commercial aspects of signing global customer agreements (Frame Agreements, Co-Creation, Collaboration Agreements etc.), such as terms and conditions, business models and risk management.
• Partner with technical sales and internal stakeholders to develop a winning sales strategy, new offerings and new business models across the whole Grid Technologies Portfolio.
• Take ownership to support your colleagues in developing and implementing commercial sales strategies, including the definition of efficient business models. Prepare information packages on those and communicate them internally.
• Support commercial contract negotiations. With the support of your colleagues from the Global Sales Operations Team, prepare analysis of terms and conditions, review customer contract drafts, prepare risk mitigation strategies.
• support our internal financial sales initiatives, e.g. driving digitalization and use of AI, implementation of new external requirements or change projects. You will support the global rollouts and training, as well as support and monitor the implementation of our initiatives.
• You will be regularly interacting with other finance and commercial colleagues in Grid Technologies Sales, as well as other teams of Siemens Energy.
• Focusing on your personal growth, which is our priority, you will end your days having made an impactful contribution supporting our customers on their decarbonization journey.

What You Bring

• Degree in Business Administration or Accounting/Finance or equivalent professional qualification.
• Proven experience in working within comparable functions, specifically Finance / Controlling, Commercial Project management.
• Capable to successfully manage multiple priorities and requirements.
• Microsoft office knowledge and an affinity for digitalization and AI.
• You can think outside the box, challenge the status quo and are able to drive change.
• You have a hands-on attitude, are proactive, dynamic, and results-oriented, as well as strong communication- and collaboration skills, English language is a must
• Growth mindset, flexibility and adaptability to tackle new financial Sales challenges and projects as they arise.
