R&D Project Controller

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Project Controller within the Finance-Business Partner Team for Product Management, your typical day would involve dealing with global Research and Development (R&D) projects, business cases for new products and solutions, innovation processes and executing financial transactions.

You will work closely with Project managers and take commercial leadership of the R&D projects, ensuring successful execution of projects from a financial perspective which includes risk management and monthly forecasting

How You'll Make an Impact

• Support of yearly R&D budget preparation
• Analyze, monitor and control project costs (ACT vs FC vs BDG)
• Cooperate closely with project managers, evaluate financial implications of changes in project execution and reflect them in forecast on timely manner with Forecast Accuracy being a main KPI.
• Ensure effective and efficient procurement of materials & services
• Support R&D funding activities from a commercial perspective
• Ensure compliance (adherence to local and corporate rules and regulations) in project execution and support continuous improvement of our internal processes with digitalization and simplification ideas

What You Bring

• 3-5 years of experience in Controlling/Finance. Project management experience is a great advantage
• A completed university degree in business administration, finance, economy or similar
• Excellent analytical skills, passion for details and numerical accuracy
• Growth mindset, focus on solutions and willingness to work in a very dynamic international environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Fluent in English, other languages ??? especially German - are a plus
• Working experience in SAP and other digital financial reporting systems

About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
