The Secure Ingress and Egress Team (SIEGE) owns and operates the first line of defense for Amazon's confidential customer data. We build the tools and applications that allow Earth's most customer-centric company to protect our most valuable asset - Customer Trust.

We build and maintain real time encryption services at Amazon scale working with security systems that bridge proxy layers, rendering applications and back-end service chains; our products impacts company-wide architectures and are used by thousands of services for protecting billions of fields per day in transit and at rest.

Key job responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Program Management:

- Lead complex, multi-team technical initiatives from concept to delivery, managing all stages of the program lifecycle.
- Develop and own the overall strategy for large programs, including prioritization and risk management.
- Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies before they become roadblocks.

Technical & Business Acumen:

- Understand and influence system architecture decisions and technical priorities.
- Balance technical debt, feature development, and operational excellence.
- Simplify and optimize processes and procedures as needed.

Stakeholder Management & Communication:
- Partner effectively with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams.
- Communicate complex ideas effectively to various audiences, including Director-level executives.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with engineers, managers, and peers.

Reporting & Analytics:
- Own and deliver high-quality business reports and executive-level updates.
- Gather and analyze data to support decision-making and track program progress.

Basic qualifications

- Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams
- Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience in software development

Preferred qualifications

- Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Knowledge of data security systems and/or cryptography algorithms
