Responsibilities
Collaboration with Hiring Managers – Working closely with department heads to define job roles, create job descriptions, and ensure that hiring decisions align with team and business objectives.
Job Offer Management – Negotiating employment terms, handling offer letters, and ensuring a smooth transition from candidate selection to hiring.
Strategic Workforce Planning – Identifying current and future hiring needs, aligning recruitment efforts with the publisher’s long-term goals, and maintaining a pipeline of qualified professionals.
Sourcing and Recruitment – Actively searching for top talent through job postings, networking, industry events, and direct outreach to candidates with academic publishing experience.
Candidate Screening and Interviewing – Evaluating resumes, conducting initial screenings, and organizing structured interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
Finding the Right Cultural Fit – Ensuring candidates align with the company’s mission, values, and collaborative work environment by assessing their motivations, work style, and ability to integrate into the team.
Employer Branding – Promoting the company as an attractive place to work by highlighting its reputation in academic publishing, career growth opportunities, and work culture through social media, networking, and industry events.
Onboarding and Retention – Facilitating a seamless onboarding process to help new hires integrate into the company and developing strategies to retain skilled professionals.
Industry Networking and Talent Pool Development – Engaging with universities, research institutions, and publishing professionals to build relationships and create a network of potential candidates for future openings.
Administrative Support & Coordination – Maintaining Contract registration & Files and assets archiving. Providing administrative support and coordination with various departments.
