Technical Lead Frontend Developer (React.js)

Job Description

The Technical Lead – Frontend Developer (React.js) will work from Romania (Bucharest / Cluj offices) while collaborating with the Global MassMutual teams and provide support in the 
Investment space. The person who will join this role will report to a local manager. 

Responsibilities 
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable JavaScript applications, using React or other JS frameworks and libraries for IDS space
• Participate/conduct estimation of effort or sizing of work
• Work with business stakeholders and product owners
• Work and coordinate work with a global team to deliver first class solutions
• Help improve the overall user experience, making sure our solutions meet the business requirements
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to solve emergent challenges
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle
• Engage with team members and be an active contributor in standups, user story mapping, backlog grooming, demos, retros, etc. 
• Analyze, develop specifications for, and deliver enhancements; debug, solve issues/problems and maintain complex applications or system(s) 
• Conduct technical troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational support for production code 
• Be self-supportive in collaborating with your peers to effectively deliver robust solutions for the business
• Work seamlessly in an agile environment with engineers, product managers, business analysts, and designers to understand end-user requirements

Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in JavaScript development with a focus on technical leadership 
• Experience with JavaScript, React.js (or Angular is nice to have) 
• Good understanding of various design and architectural patterns including Service-Oriented Architecture/microservices 
• Experience gathering technical requirements and help other team members understand requirements/solution
• Work with architects/leaders as needed to solution the problem
• Able to integrate different systems/APIs/services to provide technical solution
• Experience using a DevOps delivery model 
• Experience and understanding of tools including containers, CI/CD - GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, etc. and emerging technologies 
• Experience with any Cloud products/tools (AWS/Azure/Google) 
• Good experience with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Experience creating and maintaining technical design documentation 
• Must be self-aware and resilient 
• Nice to have: Investment of financial services domain knowledge
