Requirements

Strong academic track record with a bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical degree.
Proven track record with 5+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on cloud technologies and SQL.
Solid understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience with ETL tools (e.g. Azure Data Factory, SSIS, etc.) and complicated data pipeline workflows.
Proficiency in calling third-party cloud APIs, including a solid understanding of RESTful principles and techniques for API authentication and authorization.
Experience with tools like Postman, Insomnia, or cURL for testing and debugging API endpoints.
Understanding of error handling, retry logic, rate limiting, and security best practices for API usage.
Strong understanding of structured, unstructured, and vector databases.
Experience with programming languages such as Python or C#.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Romanian.
Experience with Git, Jira, and Confluence.

Responsibilities

Work with senior team members to design, build, and maintain data models that facilitate transactional processing, analytical capabilities for real-time reporting, and integration with AI/ML platforms.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to integrate data across cloud systems.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide robust data solutions.
Develop and support data flows between on-premise and cloud environments, including platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake.
Ensure data integrity, security, and performance through efficient design and monitoring practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with data processes and cloud integrations.
Document technical solutions and create standards for data processes and integration.
