Job Description

We are looking for a proactive Treasury and Credit Manager to lead and streamline Treasury operations, ensuring financial efficiency and providing strategic leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the Treasury department's daily operations and administrative functions;
• Manage the company's banking and cash flow activities, ensuring alignment with local and group control procedures;
• Provide support, consultancy, and assistance to all business lines within METRO Cash & Carry Romania;
• Establish, update, and monitor workflows for each team in the department;
• Monitor AML reports, escalate and address incidents per existing regulations;
• Prepare and deliver balance sheet and P&L elements for budgeting and forecasting within Treasury;
• Lead month-end closing processes and ensure accurate data transfer to other departments;
• Participate in projects to enhance financial services for customers and internal financial workflows;
• Contribute to strategic company projects and provide relevant insights for Treasury and Credit areas;
• Evaluate banking products from partners, manage banking tenders as per group guidelines.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Office;
• Knowledge of accounting software (SAP preferred);
• Economic forecasting and statistical analysis skills;
• Strong communication and presentation skills;
• Ability to think in terms of costs and benefits;
• Fluency in English.
