Requirements.

We think you’ll be best geared for success if you can meet the following requirements:

Mandatory prior work experience of 5 years
IT architecture and solution design in a data oriented ecosystem
Exposure to Cloud native data platforms and modern architectures (event-driven, real-time)
Thorough understanding of data lifecycle value chain and underlying components (ETL/ELT, DWH/Data Lake)
Familiar with SDLC tools & framework (CI/CD, Automation, monitoring)
Previous experience working in a scaled agile environment
Azure data ecosystem (ingestion, storage, analytics & data visualization): Azure Ingestion framework, Data Bricks, Azure Synapse, Delta Lake, MS PowerBI
Data modelling skills (from logical to physical model, different modelling techniques: star schema, data vault) and exposure to MPP frameworks
Functional and Technical architecture principles
Excellent command of the English language both written & spoken.

Your new role and environment.

As Data Engineer, you’ll be joining our Data Insights & Analytics department.

The Data Insights & Analytics team is responsible for the design, development and operation of the regional Azure Data Platform and is supporting the local business/brands and IT teams in generating value from their data assets.

Key responsibilities of your role.

As technology expert, you act as a mentor to bring Junior profiles in your team to the next proficiency level and you regularly assess the maturity of the team against software engineering best practices. You define and implement subsequent mitigation plans to continuously improve the quality of the team deliveries (training, peer reviews, code quality metrics, etc).
On a day-to-day basis, you’re aligning with the Functional Analyst and the Solution Architect to ensure a good understanding of both the requirements and the architecture guidelines to apply for the solution delivery.
As member of the Technical Community of Practice, you contribute with your peers to establishing high quality standards and best practices in your area of expertise.
As part of the in life management of existing data pipelines, you are responsible for maintaining all deliverables up to date, including the E2E “as-built” views of all data products in your scope.
You and your team take an active part in the operational support process by providing assistance in case of incidents requiring a code-based fix or workaround.
