We publish about 1,200+ titles every year in German, English, and French, as well as in multiple other languages, from traditional print products to eBooks and Open Access publications.

We are dedicated to offering top quality publishing services to Higher Education institutions and academics, with complete commitment to the worldwide dissemination of academic research.

The headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, are the central hub for management and administration. Our team of Acquisition Editors are based in continental Europe, India and Anglo-American regions with offices in Berlin, New York, Oxford, Brussels, Chennai and supporting locations in Vienna, Dublin, Warsaw, and Istanbul. We work with authors locally and distribute globally.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree, preferable in English, Quality Management, Publishing or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in proof reading, quality control, preferably in academic book publishing.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and processes.
- Excellent command of English; German, French and Spanish are a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Location: remote, CET time zone

Responsibilities

Quality Control:
- Conduct thorough quality checks on content, layout, typesetting, and proofs to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Standardization:
- Develop and maintain quality guidelines in alignment with academic publishing standards, including style, formatting, and citation accuracy.

Collaboration:
- Coordinate with publishing and production teams to address quality issues and resolve them efficiently.

Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to enhance quality control processes and implement best practices to improve efficiency and reduce errors.

Feedback and Training:
- Provide constructive feedback to team members and participate in training sessions on quality standards and processes.
